    Can't install msoledbsql - get error saying it needs C++ Redist


    I'm trying to install MSOLEDBSQL for use by an InstallShield installer this has nothing to do with InstallShield, but when I download the installer .msi I get an error saying it needs VC++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2022, version 14.34 at minimum. So I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable x64 - 14,36.32532 and install that but that doesn't change anything. I get the same error message. I've tried this on multiple machines Windows 10 Pro, Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 and see the same result on all 3. I am able to install it on my WI

    C++ redist error

    Hi KahoshiDarkwind,

    A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program from working correctly. To resolve this issue, we suggest installing the latest Windows updates that may include updates to Microsoft Visual C ++. Additionally,
    we also suggest running the System File Checker (SFC) and
    Deployment Image Servicing and Management     (DISM) command-line utility to repair possible system file corruption. Here are the steps:

    • Open the Start menu, type 'cmd', right-click on Command Prompt and select
    • Enter the following command-line (press enter after each command-line):
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    sfc /scannow

    Microsoft Visual C++ Redist

    Hello,

    1. Sometime ago I had virus attach and had to uninstall some programs. During the uninstallation along with the program, many of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redist were deleted. I now only have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redist alone. My system has been performing
    very slowly. Is there any way to determine which of the Microsoft Visual C++ files are required to optimize the performance?

    2. Also when I shut down or restart my system, the following error shows up: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application"

    Could you please help me with these problems? I am not tech savy so step by step process would be very helpful.

    i have installed vc redist 2017
    it is installed automaticly when i install adobe cc 2018
    how to fix this problem ?
