Windows 10: Can't install Realtek High Definition Audio: Getting error code 0001. Microphone not...

Hi,


My Razer Kraken headset audio works just fine, but my microphone is very low and gives back a static/hissing noise. I tried to instal Realtek High Definition Audio but I cannot get the enhancement tabs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times with all the troubleshooting recommendations but no good. It also just installs as Realtek Audio, is this different from HD audio?


When I try to install, I also get the error code failure of 0001. I have tried installing the driver from both the Asrock driver website and Realtek's website.


It's a custom build PC. I am worried I never installed my drivers correctly? Would love help!!

I am using Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.572). In my Device Manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers I have 3 things: High Definition Audio Device, Nvidia High Definition Audio and Nvidia Virtual Audio Device.

I would like to have the Realtek High Definition Audio, however when I try to download it I get the error code: install realtek hd audio driver failure error code -0001.

Is there a point in reinstalling the Nvidia drivers??

In Device manager-Sound, Video and Game controllers I only have Nvidia Audio drivers and something called High Definition Audio Device. I would like to install Realtek High Definition Audio, because my microphone only records static, however I get the
error code and can't install the drivers.

 

Realtek High Definition Audio not working

First of all, the Realtek High Definition Audio Device did not automatically reinstall after uninstalling and rebooting. I had to go into Add Legacy Software and select it to install. The Device Manager crashed while installing it, which it always does.
Upon starting it up again, the Device is there, but with a warning sign next to it indicating it is not functional.

Second of all, when I did the rest of the steps, the Driver Manager told me specifically that the drivers for Realtek High Definition Audio Device are up to date.
