    Can't install updates


    Hello,


    Recently I had a Trojan Virus infect my PC which I managed to remove within an hour of it being on my PC. A while after this I noticed I couldn't download updates neither manually or automatically, so I used the media repair tool and the Windows 10 Update assistant to repair and download essential updates for Windows 10. I have used DISM and SFC both of which found but could not repair files This still didn't help me, so I decided to use the Installation Media tool and fully reinstall W10.


    This brings me to where I am currently, where my PC still won't install or even download important updates. Whilst running the Update Trouble-shooter I receive an error: 0x800706BA with the context of "Elevated", with an unknown Path. I should add that following guides on fixing this error are what brought me to do a reinstall I have no clue what I can do to fix this as I use my PC for both work and leisure and need updates to be able to continue uninterrupted with both. So I guess my question is:


    What can, or rather, should I do?

    Insurgency wont install and run for me....

    I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
    I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

    I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

    First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
