Windows 10: can't install visual c++ 2015.

Discus and support can't install visual c++ 2015. in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; i keep getting the following error 0x80070666. i don't have 2015, its the only one not installed here's a log i got:...     can't install visual c++ 2015.


    i keep getting the following error 0x80070666.

    i don't have 2015, its the only one not installed

    Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 x64 Installation Failure

    I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:

    Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

    a) Press Windows key + x key and select
    Programs and Features    .

    b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

    Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

    Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015

    I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:

    a) Press Windows key + x key and select Programs and Features.

    b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

    Visual C++ Issues. Why did installing Visual C++ 2017 Remove Visual C++ 2015 from my Windows 10 Programs list?

    I ran into this problem when I installed Visual C++ 2017 Redistributables X86 and 64 on my Windows 10 PC today.

    When I went to my programs list to make sure it registered there properly I found that my latest updated install of

    Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables X86 and 64 had both been removed from my programs list.

    This is a problem because I have multiple programs, including several games, that require Visual C++ 2015 to run!

    What did the VC++ 2017 do to my VC installations?

    Can anyone help me with this? I can not get Visual C++ 2015 to reinstall or show back up in my Programs List!!
