Windows 10: Can't install Window App SDK 1.5

Hello,Help me out with this problem.I cannot install the window sdk no matter how many times I download it from the site and run it.I'm downloading from the official Windows app SDK site and I've tried different versions and such, no luck.What happens is that when I click on the downloaded installer, the command prompt opens and immediately closes, and my computer still can't read that this has been installed. It just closes suddenly immediately after clicking this installer. Any solutions for me?Thanks., -V

Plus, I would update your machine, before trying to install anything from Microsoft. This would be the first they will tell you. *Wink

Quit being so snippy to the other members... they are trying to help.
With that attitude, you may not get the answer that may solve your dilemma.

If you wish to install the SDK, you may have to take the chance on breaking some apps that rely on it... that is usually fixable.

First off, make a backup of your system so you can have a safe return point!

You can try to disable the apps while you remove and re-install everything.
Or, install a windows test bed on another machine or dual boot.
You may be able to use MSconfig to disable your apps that start and re-enable them after you finish your installation and updates of the SDK and required files.

I am encountering an issue with my .NET SDK installation on my Windows 10 Home (Version 22H2, Build 19045.2604) system. Despite successfully installing the .NET SDK, I am unable to create a new project or access the installed SDKs list. I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue.

Here's a summary of what I have done so far:

1. Installed the .NET SDK (.NET SDK 7.0.202 x64) from the official website (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download).
   
2. Verified the .NET SDK installation in the list of installed programs and features.
   
3. Added the .NET SDK path to the PATH environment variable.
   
4. Attempted to repair the .NET SDK installation through the "Modify" option in the installed programs list.
   
5. Restarted my computer after repairing the installation.
   
6. Tried accessing the .NET SDK version and list using both the Command Prompt and PowerShell (including running as administrator).
   

Unfortunately, running dotnet --version or dotnet --list-sdks does not show any installed SDKs. The dotnet --info command only displays the installed .NET runtimes, not the SDKs.

My system information is as follows:
