Windows 10: Can't install windows 10 on HDD

Hi all, I was changing the power supply for my pc and I fried my SSD and HDD (lesson: never use the same cable for different PSU, even if it fits). Now I have to install windows 10 again on some old HDD I found around (not sure where they come from, bought them second hand). The problem comes mostly when it's loading the installation files from my bootable USB. It freezes at different percentages and returns error 0x800701B1 . For what I understand it's an error involving either my USB boot or the HDD. I have formatted and created the bootable USB at least 3 times with no success, even on different sticks. As for the HDD I have 6 of those, they all turn on and are recognized, I tried to install on all of them with no success. I tried also different sata ports, making smaller partitions, changing usb port, everything the internet suggest I think. This is getting frustrating, it's 3 days I'm failing can someone please help get it to work?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
