Windows 10: Can't install windows 10 update (KB3116869)

I have windows 10 Pro but not Windows 10 Pro version 1511.
windows 10 has tried 5 times to install Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3116869) and has failed 5 times. is there anything I can?
I downloaded windows 10 pro version 1511. can this be used to upgrade my windows 10 pro? if so, will it damage anything I already have in my current windows?

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3116869) & Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511 have both failed to install., KB3116869 a number of times. Is there a simple solution out there? ie not too techie. Not too keen on going into
the registery and altering stuff.

Run another manual check for updates & see if KB3116869 will successfully install.

[I think we'll need to remove the McAfee free-trial in order to to fix this.]

Note: Windows 10 includes a built-in (free) anti-virus/anti-spyware application (i.e., Windows Defender) as well as a firewall. No need to install anything else if & when you remove the McAfee free-trial.

Yes you can manually update using the download. Make sure it is the same language edition and just install and it will activate, you do not need to enter a product key, just skip that part.

Make sure you choose to keep all your programs and files.
