Windows 10: CANT INSTALL WINDOWS 10

I downloaded the ISO from the official Microsoft website and burnt it to a new 4.7gb DVD via the Windows USB / DVD Tool that comes on Windows Vista. After that I put it into my PC with a fresh HDD and no prior problems, I had just upgraded my HDD to 1tb instead of 320gb.


I got an error saying "Windows cannot find the Microsoft software license terms", so I searched the forums for a solution. I found this thread (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install-winpc/reinstall-windows-10/d2f223f9-c644-46a3-a9cd-85c8d492231d) and followed the advice given which was to go into cmd and:

• DISKPART
• list volume

Next you will select the volume where you would like to install Windows 7

• Type: select disk #

# represents the number the volume

• Type: clean
• Type: convert mbr
• create partition primary
• Type: active
• Type: format quick fs=ntfs
• Type: exit
• Type: exit
• Which I did. However I accidentally set my DVD Drive to this and didnt create partition primary. I am assuming this is what led to the next issue. I wasnt really paying attention and i regret that now because ive been stuck for 3 hours.

After I did that I could no longer boot via the dvd and had to pick UEFI , and even then that only worked sometimes; after unplugging my PC for about 3 mins and going into bios and pressing reset defaults. I can get into the command prompt so I can revert whatever I did if told how, I have since gone into the command prompt and done the instructions properly and on the right disk but it still wont work if i try to boot via DVD and only works if i try via UEFI and even then like I said only sometimes.


Also I still get the windows cannot find the microsoft software license terms error whenever i do get UEFI to work and follow the instructions on how to install that way.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
