Windows 10: Can't install Windows - getting a black screen when PC restarts as part of the install...

My PC has been having black screen - 'No Display' issue when I try to boot or restart. I use a DisplayPort cable to a fairly new monitor.If I try to install Windows via a Windows boot USB, the PC black screens when the install procedure tries to restart - so the process is unsuccessful. I have to hard shutdown with the power button.The only way I can get out of this is to turn the PC off completely, then press the Clear CMOS button on the motherboard, then turn back on and start with a Windows boot USB plugged in, then choose the USB as the boot device in the BIOS. black screen upon restart

i just installed drivers for a geforce 210..restarted for it to take effect and all i get on restart is a black screen after windows loads etc but the monitor is on..any idea what to do?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
