Windows 10: cant launch settings and usb input device not working

this had happened for a few days and ive been searching for all possible solutions but it still doesnt work for me.


for the settings, as soon as i try to open it, it will pop up for awhile, and crash afterwards. i tried the powershell solution, made a new admin account and open it there, but it still does not work.


for the usb input device, i cant connect anything through the usb port such as mouse and joystick controller, went to the device manager and saw that the usb input device have a warning sign. the solution i have tried is to update the driver, uninstall and restart, but still not working. fyi, it shows code 52

• What USB input device are connected to your tablet when this issue with the touch screen is happening?
• What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far to fix this issue?
• Have you tried using your device without the USB input device?

Instead of uninstalling, we suggest disabling the "USB input device" listed in Human Interface Devices and check if it resolves the issue.
