Windows 10: Can´t link my windows 11 key to my microsoft account.

Hello, i am a owner of a Windows 11 Home Retail Channel license I checked. I need to make a new windows installation though a USB. The problem is my license is not linked to my microsoft account. So i went to google how to link it. Everybody had a digital windows license, but not me. I am signed into my microsoft account, as administrator, I checked that i have a retail license but i cant link it to my microsoft account There isnt even an option for me to link it. It just says System Windows is activated. So my question is: How do i link it to my Microsoft account? And no, i dont have my

I am trying to link my Windows 11 product key to my Microsoft account. I built my computer myself and bought a copy of Windows10 from Microcenter, and have since upgraded to Windows 11. I no longer have the original packaging or disk for Windows 10. I would like to link my Windows 11 Product Key to my account so that it's safe in the event that I ever needed to reinstall windows. I tried following the instructions here and here, but my user account is already logged with my Microsoft account, so I went through the steps of converting it to a local account, logging back in, then restarting my computer, but it still did not work.
