Windows 10: Can't load Print Management

I've upgraded from Win11 home to Pro so I can use Print Management. I woul;d like to remove unwanted print drivers.I'ce gone through System Optional features to load it but it reports "Couldn't add"I've looed everywhere but can't find an answer, Especially annoying as I paid about £120 for the upgrade.

No color management in print dialogue box

Why is the critical step of removing all old printer drivers (Step 5) in the Printui dialogue the same as Step 6 right clicking the printer in Devices and Printers to delete it and restart PC?

After you install the printer software in Print 8 you did a lot of other things with a Desktop app that are not in the list and unneeded. Why were these necessary instead of just selecting a .pdf document to print and trying it?

The reason I ask is that I've suggested these steps countless times and they have always worked if only they are followed, not adding a bunch of steps at the end.

Print Management for Windows 11

Thank you for your help. I tried the method you suggested and get the following results:

Step 1: Run Windows Terminal (Admin) -- OK

Step 2: I ran the command and get the following error:

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool

Version: 10.0.22000.1



Image Version: 10.0.22000.376





Error: 87



A Windows capability name was not recognized.

Step 3: I assumed the Print Management console was not previously installed on my computer, and ran the installation command. I received a message saying the installation was completed successfully.

Step 4: I ran the command to check and get the following error:

Version: 10.0.22000.1



Image Version: 10.0.22000.376





Error: 87



A Windows capability name was not recognized.



The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I tried the other command and the Print Management console was listed as "Staged" and not "Installed".

I'm still unable to run printmanagement.msc from Windows Run.

Are you familiar with this error? Can you help me with it? Thank you so much!

 

Why can't I find or download Print Management in Windows 11?

I've been watching some YouTube videos on Printer Troubleshooting and taking notes later when the video brought up Print Management.

For some reason I can't find Print Management on my computer. Furthermore, when I try to follow Google's instructions:

Step 1: Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

Step 2: On the left pane, click Apps, and on the right, click Optional features.

Step 3: Click the view features button.

Step 4: Search for Print Management, click it and click Next.

Step 5: Click Install.

I can't find Optional features where they say it is to download it, but I did a search and found it under Settings > System. After click on Optional features & selecting Add features a list comes up, but Print Management isn't on that list.

So is there any other way to get Print Management, or is it obsolete and replaced by something else?
