Windows 10: Can't locate local user profile in order to delete it

BACKGROUND: I partially created a local user profile and at start-up, my screen has the partial profile name: "debin." I never created a password or PIN.

When I select "OK" the correct profile appears on the lower left corner of the screen. I select that, enter my PIN, and log in.


QUESTION: how can I delete the partial profile to prevent it from showing up at all. It does NOT show up when I go to 'Settings,' 'Users" so I have no idea where else it might be.

• Are you trying to copy a local user profile to a domain account?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Migrate Locale Profile to Domain

I removed my reply because watching those instructions on TechNet I started wondering if they really work with Windows 10.

Anyway, whatever you try create first a dummy profile, customize it a bit and move it to domain. If everything works, you can then move real profiles.

 

Since Windows 10 latest updates I can no longer delete a user's profile

• When you say “I can no longer delete a user's profile", how are you trying to delete a user profile?
  
• Are you using a local account or a Microsoft account?
• Are you using a Standard account or an Administrator account?
