Windows 10: Cant log in. Says password wrong but it's not. No option to change it. Help!

Hi, I'm stuck with my new pc. I set it up initially and was fine then the screen locked and I now can't log back in. It doesn't give me any other sign in options or an option to change password. I have tried resetting the whole thing. Didn't work. I have tried changing password in command prompt. Didn't work. I've restarted it a million times. Didn't work. I'm out of options. Is it something to do with Microsoft hello? How can I turn that off if I can't get past the password screen? Help! All help gratefully received. It's windows 10 pro. Thank you

Hi I can't log into my windows 10 on my laptop. I've had the same password for years the other day I try to Log on and it told me it was the wrong password, I've never changed it nor would I know how to. Could somebody please help me, I don't know what
steps to take to get back in. I just don't know what to do.

Change password required every time I log in

Hi,

my laptop asks me to change my user password every time i startup my laptop. When it gets to the username password screen, i type my password then it gives a message..

1. "The user's password must be changed before signing in"
2. It pops up the new password and confirm password box
3. then i can enter the same or new password
4. It says changing password, then your password has been updated.
5. it then logs me on.

However, i have to go through this process every time i start.

The 5 steps in your message do not work as when i get to the advanced tab it says this option is not available and to go to control panel and change user passwords there. In control panel, settings, accounts,
sign in options i have changed the Require sign-in to Never but it still asks me next time i shutdown and turn on.

 

Set to skip username/password but log-in screen says password is wrong

I used to be able to skip the log-in process on my Windows 10 machine but recently it started saying that my password is incorrect and refusing to skip the log-in. I then have to enter my PIN or password. I have confirmed that "users must enter a username and password to use this computer" is unchecked.
