Windows 10: Can’t log in, “The user’s password must be changed before signing in.”

I get the above prompt when trying to sign in. I’ve tried various solutions online. When I just leave the password blank and press “enter”, I get “Unable to update the password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length, complexity, or history requirements of the domain.” I get the same message when I enter the password linked to my Microsoft account and try entering a new password with special characters and all. I’ve also tried shutting down, restarting etc but it’s the same thing every time. It’s been 2 full days now. Please help!

How Do I Change my Log On / Sign In Password?

I am able to change the password on my administrator email account. I am able to change the passwords on my user email accounts. I am not able to change the password for logging on or signing in to Windows 10 Pro when I boot my computer in the morning. (Please don't tell me my email password is the same as my log on / sign in password) Suggestions? Advice?

 

Change password required every time I log in

my laptop asks me to change my user password every time i startup my laptop. When it gets to the username password screen, i type my password then it gives a message..

1. "The user's password must be changed before signing in"
2. It pops up the new password and confirm password box
3. then i can enter the same or new password
4. It says changing password, then your password has been updated.
5. it then logs me on.

However, i have to go through this process every time i start.

The 5 steps in your message do not work as when i get to the advanced tab it says this option is not available and to go to control panel and change user passwords there. In control panel, settings, accounts,
sign in options i have changed the Require sign-in to Never but it still asks me next time i shutdown and turn on.

Just do this: Step 1- On the search bar, type “Settings” then locate and click on “Accounts”. Step 2- On the left navigation pane, locate and click on “Sign- In Options”, then click on “Password”. Step 3- Type your current password/new password and the hint that you want to provide under “Password Hint”.
