Windows 10: Can't log in to my laptop because of incorrect password issue and can't create new password

Hi, I've been unable to log into my laptop after a blue screen crash. When I turned it on, there was a message stating some sort of issue and it seemed to check all of my C: files. I didn't take a screenshot and the process took about 30 minutes, after which it turned on normally and asked for my password to log in. I tried typing in my password the same one I've been using for years now and I keep getting the message "The password is incorrect. Try again". I tried using the Reset password option, typed it the answers to my three security questions and it let me input a new password, but aft

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

When I attempt to login to Win 10 I am unable to log in on my desktop computer. It gives me the message, "incorrect password." I am having no problem logging in with my laptop. The password is acceptable. I have tried resetting the password through the desktop but it requires a password disk which I don't have. I changed the password on the laptop however the laptop continues to work and the desktop gives me the "incorrect password" error.
