Windows 10: Can’t log in to new laptop

Hi, please can you help me. My daughter has a new laptop with windows 11. She had to create a Microsoft account to set it up. when she tried to log in it said no internet connection. The laptop showed that it was connected to Wi-Fi and my internets working fine for all other devices. We restarted the laptop and the router. That didn’t work. We restarted it in safe mode as suggested by the community page. now it says something about getting an app but the store link doesn’t work. We’ve restarted again with the advanced option and done something. So now when we click on sign in nothing happens.

We understand how difficult it could be and we appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to work this issue. However, in order to get clarity, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. Were you using the “Old email (account) address” regardless of not using laptop?
   
2. Are both the email addresses linked?
   
3. Could you please let us know, where exactly you get prompt for the password for the “Old email address” in the desktop?
   
4. What is the exact error message you get when you try to log in to laptop?
   
5. Does your desktop has two user profiles?
   

In the meantime, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.



You would need to have internet connection in laptop, so that the password change could get updated and it seems that the laptop is not connected to the internet, we would suggest you to connect Ethernet cable to laptop and then
try logging in to the laptop with the new password for the old email address.

New laptop can't log in

I bought a new laptop and wiped everything from the old one. When I was setting my new one I skipped logging in Microsoft account. Later, when I was asked to log in to my account I've just typed the old password but it didn't worked. Then with phone help
I've changed password but it still said that it is the wrong password. I can log in to my account on phone using the same email and password and it's working, but not on a laptop. Any suggestions?
