Windows 10: Can't log into a microsoft device no matter what I do

My brother got a laptop a few months ago. He didn't find much use for it until now and when we tried to log in we are met with a constant loop of "Log-in -> create a pin for microsoft hello -> there was an error" It is impossible to log into the device because every time we try to log in we are stuck on the "create a pin" prompt. Pressing the "try again" button for 10 minutes did not help.Restarting the PC and downloading a pending update did not help.Creating a fresh microsoft account to log in did not help.Switching internet connection from wireless to wired did not help.Pressing the s

I understand your confusion and distress at encountering this error page, but in the process of not logging in to the system to reset the pin, restart the computer and try to log in with your account, at this time the system will indeed show an error message and prompt you to reset the PIN, to solve the problem, you just need to ensure that the network, according to the prompts to verify your account, complete the reset pin operation, and then You should be able to log in normally.

According to your description of the process: click "Skip for now" -> go back to the login screen -> be prompted to "Create PIN", you can try to follow the prompts to create a PIN in this step, and then you can finish.

If you are unable to create a PIN at this step, look for the "I forgot my PIN" button to appear, select it and follow the instructions to reset your PIN. If you have more than one account on your device, select the account that needs to be reset.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
