Windows 10: Can't log into an HDD cloned from a Win10 laptop using Macrium Reflect. Any troubleshooting...

I have cloned my win10 laptop to a 1TB seagate HDD using Macrium Reflect. I have connected it to my PC in order to clone it again to one of my nvme SSDs but I got the following message"your pin is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device "I have tried booting to safe mode - PIN needs to change. Tried to change it - some microsoft pop up loads, hangs, then disappears and im at square one again. I have tried going into CMD with shift+power but I had to sign-in with my microsoft credentials. Password incorrect I have typed it manually, one letter at a time, f

Cloning an external HDD

Doing a clean Install while switching hard drive is always recommend due to the fact that the hardware configuration of each PC is different.

What I suggest is to Clone the other data partitions except C:

Use Macrium reflect a freeware for this.

If you can connect both drives to your PC at the same time and the SSD is of the same or greater size to the HDD, then you can use the free version of Macrium Reflect to clone the HDD onto the SSD . . .

Proper way of cloning the OS from HDD to SSD

I had the bad sector in my hdd so the Macrium reflect did not clone properly, so I had to use mini tool partition wizard.
