Windows 10: Cant log into laptop with PIN. Says something happened your PIN isn't available. Set up...

Says PIN unavailable. Tried changing PIN still cant log in.

Log-in Pin is incorrect after Anniversary update


I had the same issue after my update on Windows 10. I knew that my pin hadn't changed but it was saying it was incorrect. So I said that I forgot my pin and it started going through the steps to reset the pin entered my regular password and when the window popped up to set a new pin I said cancel and then I chose the option to set my pin later. I exited the screen, logged off logged back in, and set up a new pin which happened to be the same pin I had before and it worked. If this still doesn't work I can show step by step screen shots if you need. I have a surface 3 with Windows 10 fully updated 10.0.14393.0

 

Problem login in with windows 10 PIN

My computer went with no battery and turned off.

After that I couldn´t login any more.

It says "Somtehing happened and your PIN isn´t available. Click to set up PIN again"

Below that there a Set up my PIN but it is doing nothing when I click on it.

There is no way I can acces to the safe mode either.

I´m using a dell laptop Inspiron 13. 7000 series. Windows 10.

If someone has an answer to that would be very helpful.

Pin not available post windows10s update and can't log-on to reset pin - surface laptop

I only purchased the surface laptop and set-up yesterday. I set up facial recognition and pin to access. I accepted an update but following this the log on screen said I couldn't access via facial but only PIN. When I try to enter
PIN is says "pin not available go to account / settings and reset. I am now stuck as I cant access laptop or account. help please, seems my only option is to reinstall
