Windows 10: Can’t log into Windows 10 without internet connection, lacking lan drivers

My motherboard recently died and needed to be replaced. When I booted it up for the first time after installing the new motherboard, it booted fine into Windows 10, but even though my ethernet was plugged in and working it did not register a connection. This was expected, because I needed to download new drivers for the new motherboard, but when I tried to sign in, it said that “Your pin is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device” asking me to reset it. But because I don’t have internet access I can’t change the pin and I’m not sure what to do next.

1. Is the computer connected to the domain network?

2. What is the make and model of the computer(where windows 10 is installed)?

3. What is the error message or error code you are getting when you are opening the webpage?

Run the network troubleshooter to check if the system has internet connection first. Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your
internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key + X Key, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Further, if you still face the issue, I suggest you to go to the Wireless Adapter manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the device and then manually install it by following the instructions given in the website.

You may follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the issue

Method 1: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Network Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

To resolve the particular error messages that you're having, we suggest you perform the steps below to disable proxy server:

• Click the Tools button in Internet Explorer, then click Internet Options.
• Go to the Connections tab, then click LAN settings.
• Uncheck the box which says Use a Proxy Server for your LAN, then click
  OK.
