Windows 10: Can't log into windows with correct password

I recently got my laptop repaired, and it was wiped. I opened it up everything seemed alright so I wanted to stop using the local user and log in with my account. EVERY TIME. I GET TO THE PAGE THAT SAYS "We'll need your current windows password one last time" AFTER CHANGING MY PASSWORD. ON THAT SAME DEVICE SECONDS AGO. "The password you entered for your device is incorrect. Please try again"


I know the password is correct. I logged into here using that same password. I've turned it off, locked it, restarted it. Logged into Microsoft with the account in edge, Chrome, and Firefox ON THAT SAME DEVICE. But for some reason it will not let me log into windows on the device?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: On-Screen Keyboard

You may use the accessibility options to pop open a on-screen keyboard and type the password from there to make sure you are typing the correct password.

If you see your email address listed there, it must be a Microsoft account. You will be able to reset the password and log in if your PC is connected to internet.

I have tried all the above but still I am prompted to enter password when I switch on my computer. Please advise how to get rid of login password when switching on the computer.
