Windows 10: Can't login to a laptop I haven't used in two years

When I first got my hp laptop 2 years ago some keys didn’t work so I tried “updating” the windows and after I updated it, my computer wouldn’t let me do anything and everytime I clicked on something it would refresh my whole laptop, I just stopped using my windows completely and today I tried logging in and it doesn’t allow me to log in with my pin and I tried resetting it but it says something went wrong and to try again later, please help.* Original title: Specific problem

I might be asking you for help.

Tip: Don't try to make Windows 10 run like Windows Vista. That's like looking for the carburetor in a modern car. Windows 10 is very different. Technology has changed enormously over the years.
