Windows 10: Cant login to microsoft.com, sends me a 6 digit code, then asks for 7 digit code. tried...

Any help with this please, clearly an issue on the microsoft side. please advise.

Please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings App, go to Accounts
• You should see the "Verify" link just above your picture
• Check your Email to see if Microsoft have sent you a 7 digit code
• Enter the 7 digit code when asked

 

security code rcvd 4 digit code but 7 digit code is being requested

Needed to change my cell number to new number security says need to verify by text then enter code but didn't have that cell any longer so waited 6 months finally was able to add new cell number but they wanted to verify by sending me a text with code
"4 digits" but page requires 7 digit code have received to codes but both were 4 digits?
