Windows 10: Can't login to new computer that somehow upgraded to Enterprise, it wants business or...

I Purchased a new laptop with Windows 10 home already installed, logged in with my personal microsoft account, then purchased Pro upgrade online. The upgrade failed to process, with error code 0x80070005. I restored laptop, now laptop says I have Windows Enterprise and I can't login to microsoft account with normal email, it wants a business or school email address. I don't want Enterprise, I need Pro. Why doesn't the restore revert back to the Home version that was originally installed on laptop? I don't have any product keys for Home or Pro versions, I'm stuck.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Unable to upgrade from 1703 to 1709 Windows 10 Pro/Business

1) How many user profiles are there on the computer that is being troubleshooted?
2) Please complete any of the above steps over the weekend and post results into the thread.
3) As the logs are viewed there may be new problems to troubleshoot.
4) Once the computer is tuned up a basic check list will be posted.
5) An upgrade attempt will be made after many troubleshooting steps to generate a new error code

 

Upgrading Windows 10 Home to Enterprise

There is a lot of conflicting information on how you can and can't upgrade to Enterprise from a current Home edition.

I purchased a system about 2 years ago for business that came with Windows 10 Home by default. Pretty weird combo considering the specs of this system but is what it is.

I had attempted a previous suggestion to upgrade using a standard PRO key first which I did, but it wouldn't activiate and complained not valid. Took a bit to get back to it and Windows complaining about needing activation . So I tried entering our company
Enterprise key again and voila, it now says Windows 10 Enterprise? Is it possible even though it wouldn't activate, the edition was recognized as PRO so the Enterpise key was then accepted?

My primary question: Will just rebooting give me the full Enterprise functionality or do I need to run any upgrade steps or install steps? I am attempting to avoid a full system reinstall and full applications reinstalls and configuration if I can.
