Windows 10: Can't Login to Surface After MS Update - Blank MS Account Popup

I had a Microsoft update run a couple days ago and I am no longer able to log in to my Surface Pro 3. Prior to the update I used a local password to login, but when I brought my computer back up after the update it now has the 'Sign in' link to sign in via my Microsoft account. The problem is that when I click the link the popup box to sign in is completely blank other than saying 'Microsoft account' at the top left. The blank box stays on the screen for about 7-10 seconds, then it disappears and I'm back with the 'Sign in' link. So-1 Does anyone have an idea how to bypass this MS account s

Login not accepted for my MS Account

Let me explain, again, what I have experienced:

• I use my MS account to unlock this computer. No problem doing that
• I attempted to use other apps requiring the MS login, like Outlook, or even this forum, and it would not accept the very same credentials I used to unlock the computer
• I used my wife's MS account to login to this forum so that I could seek help
• I have tried resetting my MS account twice, and that did not work either.

I would appreciate suggestions OTHER than wha I have already tried

 

MS surface pro connection to USB - of transcend storjet.

I have MS surface pro 2017 and External hard disk from Transcend Storjet. It is very weird that MS Pro shows the list of storejet in device but does not connect at all. iT IS REALLY FRUSTRATINGnot only Surface pro behaves erratically with login also. most
of time it blanks me out after signing without any message.

 

Cannot Login Back to MS Account

By MS Tech I created a local account and switched to local acc but now when I want to switch back to my MS acc popup input window disappears before I can login. So I lost my OneDrive sync and many other features.

What to do?
