Windows 10: Can't logon to windows with my microsoft account

Hi PLEASE note this has noting to do with not knowing the password!I had the known problem with both a personal account and a work account with same email address. This was causing more and more problem, so i tried to fixed it with what i thought was an official Microsoft procedure, but now I think it was a bad idea and maybe it was not an official guide after all.I logged into my personal account and added an alias = an other email addressI made the new alias my primary aliasNow my original email was change to an secondary aliasI removed this secondary alias my original emailNow I can log o

Window 10 Auto-Logon (Hotmail/MS Account)

Hello everyone!

So, i've updated my PC to Windows 10 and i have a little problem.

Anyone knows how to auto-logon without asking for password using Hotmail/MS Account? I i've already tried the trick using "netplwiz" from Windows 8 wich always worked totally, and in Win10 it just does not work, it keeps asking me for password...

Anyone knows how to bypass this without having to create a local account?

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

Win 10 Logon problem

Sorry, but I'm confused. You said: "Once you have taken that precaution, you should use NetPlwiz again to 1 undo the automatic logon you set up, 2 then reboot, 3 then you can use NetPlwiz again to re-do the automatic logon." And I said I didn't know how to undo the automatic logon I set up. So what is option 1 and what is step 3? - - - Updated - - - One last question (hopefully): if I want to automatically log in to my Microsoft account do I first have to set up a user with my email address as the user name? Looking at Accounts, Email & Accounts in Setup, my Microsoft account is listed under Accounts used by other apps. But it is not listed in netplwiz. Under Your Info, my email address appears under my original local user account name.
