    Can't manage Microsoft account, log into Store/Xbox App


    So as the title suggests, I'm having some issues with my Microsoft account right now in that trying to log into an app, not the a website though, or trying to access the account info through the Settings > Accounts > Email & Accounts, and under "Accounts Used by Other Apps" is my Microsoft account which I can't manage, nor am I able to add another account.


    When I try to do any of these things, a gray window pops open for a fraction of a second, then forcibly closes itself. I've been looking around for awhile trying to find the solution to this so I can actually use my account to have access to my entire computer.


    I will also mention in advance I am able to change to a local account which allows me to remove the info, but it still prevents me from actually re-adding it which I only discovered through trial, error, and a system restore.

    I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

    Hi,

    Issues signing in to the Xbox App on Windows 10 may occur if the Xbox Live Services are disabled. It is also possible that there is an issue with your profile. To properly isolate your concern, please provide us the following information:

    • Does the same issue occur if you sign a different account on the app?
    • Are you signed in to a Microsoft account or a Local account to your computer?
    • If your Microsoft account is already added to the PC have you tried to remove and add it again?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you perform the provided solutions on this

    to resolve the issue.

    If the issue persists, enable the Xbox Live Services on your PC. Here's how:

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type
      Services
      in the search box.
    • Once the Services window opens, scroll down and look for Xbox Live Auth Manager,
      Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.
    • You have to repeat the steps on each service. Right-click on each service and click
      Properties.
    • Make sure that the Startup type is set to Automatic.
    • If the Service status is stopped, click on Start.
    • Click OK to save the settings.

    I understand that you are unable to launch Microsoft Store, Xbox app and GameBar. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



    However, please let us know:



    • Do you receive any error message?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
      winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.


    Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1: Store app troubleshooter



    I would suggest you to run the Store app troubleshooter and check. Refer the steps mentioned below:



    1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open Settings.
    2. Click on Update & Security and select Troubleshoot from the left pane.
    3. Scroll down, click on Windows Store apps and select Run the troubleshooter.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.


    Method 2: Re-register apps



    If Store app troubleshooter doesn’t work, I would suggest you to try re-registering the apps using PowerShell. Refer the steps mentioned below:



    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Paste the following command and press Enter:
      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    3. Once the process is complete, restart the computer and check.


    Method 3: New user account



    If re-registering the apps didn’t work, try creating a new user account and check if the issue persists. Refer the article
