Windows 10: Can't Open a Specific Folder on Windows 10

I'm trying to get all of my photos together, so I just restored 250+ GB of photos from a hard drive to my new computer. The restore took about an hour, and was "completed successfully." But when I try to open the folder where the photos should be, it just won't open. I have tried re-indexing, no dice. I have also tried renaming the folder.The space on my device is taken up, but I can't open the folder and find the photos I just restored. What can I do?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it help.

  Open file explorer, click on view and select options.
  
• 
  Double-click on options, in the general tab click on Open each folder in the same Window.

  Click apply and ok.

Windows 10 search for a specific folder name and file name

Carlos: Thanks for your reply. What you suggest is what I have been doing. I search for folders with a specific name and get a list. Then I have to search each folder for a specific file. So it's a two step search and that's what I was trying to avoid.

I assume there are applications out there that allow for an "AND" search in Windows. I'll try that approach.
