Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

Yep, I see the same.

I tried adding Paint to Open With for txt. That also appeared in the More Options list.

I suspect it's to do with what the programs are registered to handle. The Open With list is constructed form a number of sources e.g. at least these:



The first of those corresponds to Snip & Sketch (simply search and find refs to the Appx string)

This issue might occur if some system files is corrupt.



To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• Are you getting any error message when you click on Start Menu?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided in Microsoft Help Article about Start menu issues and also try to start Windows Search service. Check if it helps.



Step 1: I recommend you to refer to the suggestion provided in the Microsoft Help Article and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to try to start Windows Search services
and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Type "services.msc" without the quotes and click on it.

3. Search for Windows Search.

4. Double click on it and under Startup type, select
Automatic.

5. Then click on Start button.


Note: If you are not able to change the Startup type, then continue starting the service by clicking on Start button.

Windows Start Menu, Search Bar, Photos, Windows Store Don't Open

Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 and this is what has happened on it.: The Windows Start Menu, Search Bar, Photos, Windows Store Don't Open at all.

Windows Start Menu: When I click on the start button, there is no response from it, it doesn't open the start menu.

Search Bar: When I click on it to type, there is no response. I can't search with it.

Photos: When I would go to file explorer to view the photos, and I click on it, the photos app opens, then closes.

Store. When I click on it on the taskbar, it opens and then closes.

Things that I checked for: The PC is updated.

It has affected all the accounts on the computer.

Things I did before this happened:

I did a PC reset to fix a problem with the windows store.
