  1. Can't open links in MS Outlook after deleting IE 11 in Windows 10

I moved from using Internext Explorer 11 to Microsoft Edge some time ago.

A couple of days ago I decided I did not need Internext Explorer 11 on my PC so I deleted it.

Next day I found I was unable to open links in emails Microsoft Outlook, Office 2013 Desktop version.

Tried to reinstall Internext Explorer, but the files just sit in the Downloaded Files folder.

The MS Outlook error I am getting whwen trying to access a linnk within an email is:

"Your organizations policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk"

This is personal software not associated with a businsess or network.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Can't Open Links from MS Outlook

OK. Got it working but now it's opening to MS Edge. I prefer IE11. Tried resetting defaults and associations but can't get urls, etc to open into IE11.

Can't open links in MS Outlook after deleting IE 11 in Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
