Windows 10: Can't open Microsoft Apps like Microsoft.Photos or Microsoft.Movies

Hi guys, good morning all...


I have an issue with Microsoft.Photos, when I try to execute the app, it shows the window and after some seconds it crash and doesn't show any futher message.


If I try to execute the app through duoble-clicking a image from any directory, it shows an error like this:





I tried these several fixes suggested over the internet I found, but any of those were helpful to pass-through this error.

Reset and Repair the App from Add or Remove Programs
Try to open the app

Crash



Remove the application

Install it again from the Windows Store

Reboot

Try to open the app

Crash


Reinstall the package from Window PowerShell with Administrator rights


Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} Foreach {Add-AppXPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml"}

Reboot

Try to open the app

Crash


Browse the directory under "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" and add ownership with the current logged user

Check if the current user can access to each folder of the application

Crash

Reboot

Try to open the App

Crash



Enable Process Auditing from "gpedit.msc"

Computer Configuration

Windows Settings

Security Settings

Local policies

Audit policy

Audit directory service access -> Success and Failure

Audit process tracking -> Success

Reboot

Try to open the app

Crash



This is the last action that I took... When I check the Event viewer, I see this audit information:

Also I have this same trouble with the Movies & TV app, but I do not tried any solution, I have the same error associated with the number of the capture screen I posted before...

Anyone knows what that means? How can I fix this issue?

Microsoft Apps Not Opening

None of the windows default apps are opening on my laptop ..... like movies ,photos ,camera, windows media player etc. Even the movies cannot be opened through other softwares such as VLC or even if they can be opened the sound isnt there ..... the microsoft
word files cannot be opened through the application ....it shows it encountered error .... pls suggest me a solution

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
