Windows 10: can't open the prefetch folder

hi there:I cannot open the prefetch . I either have to restart explorer.exe or restart my device. When I restarted my device, I go and delete that . Then, I created a new one and go set it to full control. The issue is: Everytime after I am about to shutdown my device and go to delete all the files in it, the problem returns. Any fixes for it?

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build currently installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Are you logged in to the PC using Administrator account?
  
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these methods and check if that helps.



Method 1: Permission to the folder

1. Open File Explorer and go to
   c:/windows.
   
2. Right-click on the Prefetch folder which you’re unable to access and select
   Properties.
   
3. Click on Security tab from the top and under
   Group or user names click on Edit.
   
4. Now click on Add and type
   everyone.
   
5. Click on Check names and click
   OK.
   
6. Select everyone and under
   Allow select Full control.
   
7. Click on Apply and Ok.

Also refer the suggestion as mention in this article for Windows 8, as it holds good for Windows 10:

"Access Denied" or other errors when you access or work with files and folders in Windows

I can not open prefetch

I can not open prefetch from run or from c:/windows. it recuired a permission and when I click on continue the window crushes. even now I can not delete any folder which required permission. I'm attaching a photo which may clearify my question. When I
click continue to the window shown in the photo just within one second the window crushes. Need suggestion immidiately. Thanks in advanced

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it help.

  Open file explorer, click on view and select options.
  
• 
  Double-click on options, in the general tab click on Open each folder in the same Window.
  
• 
  Click apply and ok.
