Windows 10: Can't open tray icons

Hi, I just got this problem about a day ago, and I don't have any ideas anymore on how to fix this. So the issue is that I can't open any of the tray icons that are like built into windows like the notification centre, the Wi-Fi, sound, calendar and battery icons all also don't work, to fix this I've tried:sfc /scannowDoing a disk clean-upChecking for updatesDisable and re-enable various iconsRestarting multiple timesRe-Registering the Action CenterStarting up in normal startup instead of selective startupEnabling all servicesStill no result, I also can't open any of the icons via keyboard sho

Tray icon disappears

I've been experiencing since the installation of Windows XP SP2 on multiple machines with the ATITool Tray Icon disappearing upon load at system startup. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Enabling or Disabling the "Hide Inactive (tray) Icons" WinXP menu option doesn't have any effect. The only way to open ATITool after it has loaded is to go through the start menu to open it again. I have "minimize on close" selected in ATITool. When closing ATITool, you see it make the motions of minimizing to the tray area but no icon is displayed. Any ideas?

here gaian to update for the owner of the tool my experience:
NOTHING DONE of different in my pc and now at its starts,of the pc.., it works....,the tray icon tool..

so to sum up:
RANDOMLY it works
RANDOMLY it starts at start up,or with its settings or in a proper task scheduler BUT with the error:
- failed to create tray icon-...so you can only see the gpu-z.exe in task manager but you cannot open or see it..
to do it you have to stop it in task and to re start the tool manually..at this point you can see it in tray area and open its window on the
desktop....

I can't figure out how to open the disc tray on my toshiba laptop

Kindly try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Locate the eject button near the disc tray. This button is usually directly to the left or right of the disc tray.
• Press the eject button firmly and quickly. The tray should slide open.
• Press the eject button a second time to close the disc tray.

If the above steps doesn't work try the below.

• Open This PC.
• Right click on DVD drive.
• Click on Eject to open the drive.

If this doesn't help, I suggest you to contact Toshiba support for further assistance.
