Windows 10: Can't "Password Protect" NEW files using Microsoft Office - Home & Business 2013

My previous description of the problem was not correct.

Current files & folders continue to be "Password Protected." Good.


The correct issues is: any NEW file I create and try to SAVE.....there is no way to "Password Protect" the new document. The feature is gone.


Has it literally been withdrawn from this Home edition of Office ?


Is there a free 3rd Party App. that is recommended, for "Password Protection" of files ?

migrate office 2013 to new PC

Step 1. If its a single license, first uninstall it on the existing computer.

Step 2. Download and reinstall the license on the new computer. If you already have the setup files, you can proceed to use it to install on the new computer.

Download and install or reinstall Office 2013 on a PC or
