Windows 10: Can't pin Desktop to Quick Access or OneDrive to Navigation pane in W11 File EXplorer

I just updated to Windows 11 from Windows 10, and I've found a couple of anomalies in the new File Explorer I'd like to fix. First, OneDrive doesn't appear in the Navigation pane; how do I add it? Second, "Desktop" doesn't appear in the Quick Access area; in fact, I can't find the current desktop folder at all. How do I add it to QA?

Cannot pin Desktop to Quick Access folder in Explorer

Try dragging it to Quick Access, or
navigate to the Desktop Folder itself, then right click on Quick Access and choose 'Pin current folder to Quick Access'.

Quick Access is a new feature in Windows 10 File Explorer navigation pane which helps users quickly navigate to locations which are frequently used. However, if you're having issues with Quick Access, you can try to disable and enable it. To disable Quick
Access, follow these steps:

• Type File Explorer Option in the search box.
• Click on File Explorer Options.
• Under General tab, choose This PC in the Open File Explorer to: drop down menu.
  
• Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access and
  Show frequently use folders in Quick access.
• Click Apply an OK.
• Restart the computer and re-enable Quick access.

How to add custom folders to File Explorer > Navigation Pane > Desktop


After installing Dropbox, I notice that there's now a custom link to the Dropbox folder in my File Explorer > Navigation Pane > Desktop list (see screenshot below).

Does anyone know how I can add such (sym?)links to other directories on the computer?

Specifically looking for ways to add to list in the "Desktop" section of Navigation Pane... not the "Quick access" list.





My thinking is... I'd like to consolidate shortcuts to my custom cloud storage folders. Right now there's OneDrive (built in to W10) and Dropbox, and I'd like to add similar links for my Google Drive, Amazon Cloud Drive, etc. directories. Trying to have them all appear together under "Desktop", rather than split between Desktop and Quick Access.
