Windows 10: Can't plug two monitors into my windows laptop.

I have two monitors.One plugged into HDMI, one plugged into a usb-c port.Essentially, if they are both plugged in at the same time, the monitor connected to the HDMI port will lose signal.If I unplug the USB-C monitor the HDMI monitor will come to life. If I plug the USB-C monitor back in, the USB-C monitor will turn on and the HDMI monitor will lose signal.I've tried "detecting displays", rebooting, updating graphics drivers.

My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...

Laptop Screen goes dark when I Plug in or plug out.

To understand the issue better, let me know what is the model number of the laptop?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

• Outdated or corrupt driver.
• Missing Windows Updates.

Try the steps listed here:

Method 1:

I suggest you to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it helps.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install all the latest device drivers including graphics and chipset driver from the computer manufacturer website.

Monitor doesn't turn on after restart until I unplug and plug in back the HDMI

   This issue is happening may be because of the necessary drivers for the external monitors are not detected automatically from the laptop. In your scenario it’s acting like a plug and play device, ideally which shouldn’t have happened.
