Windows 10: Can't preview any font in Windows 10 recent install

Yes, I know. And I had already daily images with Macrium Reflect in external hard disk. My problem was that I had spotted the font problem more than a month ago and thought that I could solve it later as I had urgency to finish OS setup, and during these weeks I installed and configured quite a lot of software. So much, that it was not worth to use the backup vs a complete reinstall. So, my conclusion is:

1. Make daily (or frequent) OS backups in external disk

AND

2. Whatever problem you observe in Windows, try to solve it at the moment, do not leave it for later, as it could be not possible to solve (or not without unacceptable side consequences), and it will be too late to use a backup image, as you may lose too much work done in between.

 

Yep, it's the ones you don't spot that will get you... the best you can do is keep your personal data away from the OS partition or disk. That way your data isn't necessarily on the same disk image.
