Windows 10: Can't purchase anything without "adult permission"

I'm 19 years old and despite not being included in the family group, I need to get permission from a parent to purchase anything. The email is sent to my mom, but she insists I'm not in the family group. Is there any way of finding out what's happening and how to fix it?

hi I have tried to use google chrome but windows will not let me use it ,as it keeps saying I need adult permission ,but I am a adult and they have my date of birth correct showing I am 47 what on earth is going on with them

I understand that you receive error while asking permission from adult for accessing Google Chrome. I would like to know the exact error message/code you receive.



However, since you have mentioned that you are using a child account, the work around would be to converting the child account to a local user account and try using Chrome. Kindly follow the steps to convert the child account to local account.

1. Go to Settings > Account >
   Your info.
   
2. Now click on Sign in to a
   local account instead.
   
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I change my permissions to adult?

I recently purchased a new windows laptop. It's been a while since I last purchased a windows device. Since the last time I had a windows device, I have become an adult, but every time I try to use the web browser, I am informed that I need to ask an adult
in my family for permission. I tried removing myself from my family and setting myself up as an adult, but this doesn't seem to be working. Now when I try to use the web browser, I am told that I need to ask for permission, but when I click "Ask by email,"
I am told that an error has occurred with Trace ID: gLiFM8RkHUW+1EFX.7.1. How can I change my account so that I can use the internet without restrictions?
