Windows 10: Can't re-login to active session | Windows 10 Pro | Hyper-V

Hi there,


[EDIT: the mentioned account is a Microsoft outlook account. Also, there is a Office 365/Azure lite account present. They have admin access, the 'outlook account' has not]


I'm running a lab setup with one Window 10 Pro laptop with Hyper-V installed.
My goal is to test the user experience with a virtualized pfSense firewall and Windows 10 Pro. My intention is to minimize my usage of the host Windows 10 installation, instead use the virtualized Windows 10 Pro installation while tweaking the firewall and randomly switching between WAN, WLAN and LAN connections.


So far I'm very impressed!


The problem I'm facing now is that I can not login in to an active (already logged-in) user account.

If I try, I only add the same user again as an active user.

In Task Manager you can see who is logged and what resources the active user consumes. In this case I would see my self logged-in multiple times.


My guess would be that somehow authentication mechanism does not detected that I'm already logged-in.


How can I login in to a previously logged-in and active account?

Hyper-V on Windows Home Edition?

In my "Services (Local)", the following are listed:

Hyper-V Data Exchange Service

Hyper-V Guest Service Interface

Hyper-V Guest Shutdown Service

Hyper-V Heartbeat Service

Hyper-V Remote Desktop Virtualization Service

Hyper-V Time Synchronization Service

Hyper-V VM Session Service

Hyper-V Volume Shadow Copy Requestor

Since Hyper V isn't supposed to be on Windows 10 Home, I'm wondering what's going on and why it is in my Services. Are there any other services which would appear in Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise or Education that shouldn't appear in Windows 10 Home Services?

Where is the Hyper V Manager, How to I start it ?

I am trying to setup an XP virtual Machine on Windows 10 Pro.

I followed the steps in Neil Peterson article of 5/9/2016.

System Requirements - done - ok

Install Hyper-V - done - ok

Create a Virtual Switch - skip

Create a Virtual Machine

Create a Virtual Machine with Hyper-V Manager

These steps walk through how to manually create a virtual machine and deploy an operating system to this virtual machine.

Uhhhhhhhhh - this step obviously implies one knows

1) Where the Hyper-V Manager is

2) How to start the Hyper-V Manager

Isn't that odd ?

 

Hyper-V causing boot loop in Windows 10 Pro x64

After upgrading to Windows 10 x64 Pro from Windows 8.1 x64 Pro and activating Hyper-V in Windows 10 x64 Pro my computer reboots. After a couple of tries it goes in automatic repair and attempts to repair the startup. This cycle just repeats itself.
I tried many combinations of things in the bios, shutting down, reseting the defaults in bios and nothing has worked so far. I rolled back to Windows 8.1 Pro and Hyper-V works fine. I use Hyper-V with the emulators for phone and tablets in Visual Studio
2013 and 2015. Re installed the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and activated Hyper-V and same reboot loop occurs. The only way I can boot into Windows 10 x64 Pro is disable Virtualization in bios. Anyone else having similar problems with hyper-V on Windows
10 x64 Pro?
