    I have an Asus Maximus IX Code motherboard with built-in Bluetooth 4.1 capability, and it was working great. Despite that, recently, I decided to try out an external Bluetooth 5.1 dongle, thinking that maybe the newer version could help reduce lag with my Galaxy Buds+ (true wireless earbuds that use Bluetooth 5.0). I was wrong. It didn't help anything, so I took out the external dongle, but I can't seem to reenable my motherboard's stock Bluetooth capabilities.

    The first thing I noticed was that the normal Bluetooth toggle switch was missing, and under each of my Bluetooth devices, it just says "Bluetooth is turned off".



    It claims that Bluetooth is off, but the toggle switch to turn it back on is missing?

    I've tried running the built in troubleshooter. I've tried updating all of my Bluetooth drivers (there were many, some from Qualcomm, some from Microsoft). Then I started really researching. One of the suggestions from Stackoverflow was to simply delete all of my Bluetooth drivers and the restart Windows, claiming that it would simply reinstall my Bluetooth drivers automatically. It didn't. So then I went to my motherboard's manufacturer website, grabbed the Bluetooth driver and just reinstalled it manually, then restarted my machine. Still no Bluetooth anything anywhere (not even any hidden devices, which I checked by navigating to View > Show hidden devices)



    I have no Bluetooth devices after all of this
