    Can't read your preferences PROBLEM!


    Recently, my PC has had a blue screen event. Now, whenever I boot up the system, I receive a pop-up saying 'Can't read your preferences' rough translation into English from my languageThen, all my Microsoft Edge website accounts are immediately logged out and I have to agree to terms of service again. Edge boots up as if it was just downloaded. It is a chore to log in every time, so I am looking for a fix.In fact, this issue continues EVERY time I close and reopen Edge. It does not happen with other browsers.I tried doing the steps in "Can't read your preferences" - Microsoft Community, howe

    • What exactly happens when you try to go into printer driver settings from Control Panel?
    I suggest you to try the steps given below and check if it helps:

    Step 1:


    • Type change default printer and hit
      enter.

      enter.


    • Check whether you are able to change the preferences and properties from here.

    Can't read your preferences PROBLEM!

    Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

    That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

    I suggest Option 1 is easier.

    If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
