    It works on some models, not on others. It's nothing new, people have been using it for years.

    Some phones will display a heart if you type <3 . Using the symbol on some phones may reduce the size of SMS messages you can send from 160 characters to 70.

    If you use a language that has accented characters, then your maximum SMS size is reduced, so yes you will notice this using Danish.

    This is because in normal mode, the phone only has ASCII characters up to ASCII-127, the accented characters require additional character support, which is what causes the drop in message length.
