Windows 10: Can't reinstall any Microsoft apps on my PC

I recently had a problem with my computer and had to uninstall and reinstall all my programs, including Windows, Office, Adobe, Norton, etc. You get the idea. When I did that I lost some basic apps such as the Windows Photos app. I've since gone to the Microsoft site and tried to reinstall it but nothing happens. I don't get any error message, it just does nothing. I should add that I have tried this on different days with the same result, so you know it's not a one-time glitch. I also don't have any filtering software on my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

• Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.
• Install the driver using the compatibility mode.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
