Can't reinstall new programs that were on old dead drive

I had a 2TB drive die on me recently. I purchased a new 4TB drive to replace it after it died on me. Went to go reinstall Minecraft today, but it throws an error in the wizard that D:/ the old drive is invalid. Tried to go uninstall the old version and it throws that same error. I have installed CCleaner and cleared the registry, but it didn't help.

Didn't see a solution on that thread and can't find the solution anywhere else. Thanks.

    :)

  2. Reinstall Windows 10 to new hard drive

    Hi Rodolpho,

We want to know about the issue you're having with your recovery drive. Please answer the questions below:

    • Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
    • If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

We suggest creating a new copy of the recovery drive and then follow the steps provided by Andre Da Costa above this thread.

Update us with the outcome so we can assist you further.

cant't uninstall program because the Hard drive is dead

recently one of my HDD ( drive H;\ ) gone dead, so i try to uninstall some of the program that was installed at drive H:\ so that i can install it again once i buy a new HDD, and this one, epic launcher, cannot be uninstalled, the error prompt is " Invalid
drive H:\", so i try force remove it with register edit, delete the uninstall section, still came up at my listed program and still cannot be uninstall, try removing all of the Epic launcher register, but still came up at my listed program. any other solution?
or do i really need to format my OS to remove this problem?

How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

    I use the external drive
