  1. Can't remove Bluetooth device.

So I bought a TP-Link UB400 Bluetooth adaptor because my new motherboard doesn't have Bluetooth. The first device I wanted to connect was my Galaxy Buds+. I couldn't do this with the windows 10 Bluetooth search (In the settings) but I had to right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and click add Bluetooth device. Now the problems came. When it connected it was connected to the hands-free device so it is just poor audio quality and it used my microphones all the time. I disabled the Device in my sound settings and I had normal audio. But then for some reason, there was stuttering between my left and right Bud. When I put my left bud in the case there was no problem. The audio worked fine.

Now I also have a bose QuietComfort 35 II LE. When I wanted to add the device it found my headset and it connected. There was no audio problem at all. When I wanted to use my buds again it just wouldn't connect. Then I thought I will just remove and add the device back. When I went to the Bluetooth settings from Windows, I couldn't click on the buttons 'Remove Device' and 'Connect'. I removed everything related to my Galaxy buds in the device manager. Still nothing. I tried removing it from the control panel and still nothing. I can't find anyone with the same problem. I did find a registry that has something to do with my buds. I didn't remove it because I don't know what it will do. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I just can't find it.

  2. Try3 Win User

    Cannot use bluetooth device

1 Pairing is done in Settings, Devices
1.1 You click on Add Bluetooth or other device
    1.2 You choose Bluetooth
1.3 If there is a pairing button on the bluetooth device itself then you press that now. You need to check the instructions for your bluetooth device to see how to do this - several automatically go into pairing mode when they switch on, others have a button that needs to be pressed for, say, 5 seconds.
1.4 The computer detects all available bluetooth devices and you select yours from the list. If yours is not on the list then Windows could not detect it.
1.5 It connects - pairing includes connecting
1.6 The computer sounds a buzz in the earpiece then displays Your device is ready to go and you click on Done
1.7 The device is shown in the devices list below the subheading Audio and it shows it as connected
1.8 The device should also appear in Control panel, Sounds, Playback tab
1.9 The device should also appear in Control panel, Devices & printers
1.10 {I just paired some bluetooth earphones as I typed so I could make sure these notes were correct} You use a music player and the sound comes out of the bluetooth earphones

2 If this is not happening for you then go to Contol panel, Devices & printers
2.1 Right-click on the device & select Remove device
2.2 You can now try pairing from scratch again
2.3 Several other users have reported that only removing the device with Bluetooth command line tools - BluetoothInstaller allowed them to re-pair again [see xzion's guidance below]
2.4 Yet others reported that only the KeithM code or Bungee's guidance worked for them [see below]

3 Where is this all going wrong for you?
[I assume we are definitely talking about bluetooth headphones/earphones. I understand that WiFi ones do also exist.]

  4. Can't remove Bluetooth device.

    Bluetooth device migration.

    Hi FredOlson1,

Sounds like a Bluetooth driver conflict to me. Did you make any changes on your laptop prior to the issue? What is the build and version of your Windows 10? In the meantime, kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1: Lets remove the Megacra sound bar from your Bluetooth device list.

    1. Select Start > Settings > Devices >
      Bluetooth & other devices.
    2. Select the paired Bluetooth device that you want to remove > Remove device >
      Yes.

      Restart your laptop.

Step 2: Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver directly from Dell support website.

Step 3: Pair again your Bluetooth device to your laptop. Kindly check for the device manual for the instructions.

You may also want to check this article for the list of troubleshooting steps to fix Bluetooth connection issues.

Kindly update us with the results.
