Windows 10: Can't remove Desktop shortcut from Quick Access for one profile

Hi all,I have a Windows 10 Education PC and on it I created 3 local accounts. One is local admin, and the other 2 are local regular users for myself - one for personal use, and one for school use. The personal profile, if it matters, is linked to my person Microsoft account, but the school one isn't linked. One the school one, the Office apps as well as OneDrive are logged in with my school account, but the PC is not domain joined or anything like that.Anyway, in the school profile, under Quick Access, the Desktop icon seems to be stuck in "pinned mode". Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Stupid "Quick Access" shortcut on my desktop

If you disabled 'Quick Access' with Winaero Tweaker, you'll have to remove any shortcut pinned there, (1), have Explorer open with 'This PC', (2), uncheck items in (3) and clear Explorer history, (4)

Thanks but I've already gone through that post.

I'm not actually having an issue removing Quick Access. As you can see in my earlier post Quick Access is gone from File Explorer.

The problem I have is that I keep getting that blue star Quick Access icon on my desktop randomly and I also have Quick Access randomly appearing in File Explorer. if I do a refresh (F5) then it goes away.

So do I need to do anything further and if so what? Or do I need to just accept that this is a limitation with removing Quick Access and I need to live with it?
