Windows 10: Can't remove programs listed in Search Box, long time to open programs after clicking on...

I touched nothing in my computer for a long time.Last night my computer was taking a long time to open websites, and I also noticed the Icons on my Suggested Apps took a long time as well, to open Control Panel, and any others I have saved, which is about four.After putting up with t for about 20 minutes, now I have a long list of Suggested Apps. I don't use Snip It, Paint, and I already have Explorer on the Top Apps side. That is the only one that is duplicated.I cannot use a right-click and 'X' out of it because there is no option. Even most of them I could not Uninstall if I wanted to. Edge

How do I remove programs from "Open With" list WITHOUT Regedit?

I am annoyed with the long list of "Open With" programs that I will never use. I have searched for instructions on how to remove programs from the list and am only able to find methods requiring Regedit. Doesn't Windows 10 provide a simple utility to display
that list and remove entries?

 

Windows Search Not Opening Removed Start Menu Programs

Hi all, I have removed all unnecessary apps, etc from the Start Menu list - however there are Folders, for example, "Ease of Access" --- where once removed from the Start Menu folder list %appdata/programdata% --- the applications within the folder no longer work when calling on them in the Windows Search. They appear in the search results, but upon clicking them - nothing opens.

Example: Delete 'Ease of Access' from Start Menu Programs Folders %appdata/programdata% --- Click Windows Button, type in 'Narrator' (program within the 'Ease of Access' folder) and try to click it, doesn't open. Happens with all the programs within the Folders.

As soon as I put the Folders back in the Start Menu Programs Folders %appdata/programdata% - the search entries all function as usual.

I've tried rebuilding the search, adding the entire C drive to search index, nothing seems to be working.

Basically I'm looking to remove the 'Ease of Access' 'Windows Accessories' 'PowerShell' etc folders from the Start Menu list, but still be able to call the applications within them up thru the Windows Search and click to open.

Anyone have a fix?

Add Remove Programs in Windows XP doesn't finish loading the program list (It never even starts displaying any programs) and I believe it may be that a uninstall program messed up completely and Windows can't figure out what programs are installed because of it. What is the problem? Please?
