Windows 10: Cant remove windows user picture from my work laptop

Hi! I started working very recently and ended up in this very small firm and after a few months there was some problem with onedrive syncronization and I had to disassociate the company account from the computer, reinstall onedrive and then had to associate everything again.

The problem was that I had forgotten I had an outlook account (made for me by the company) that was connected 24/7 to office 365 and after doing what I said above I could not save documents (word, excel, etc) in the company's onedrive server because my account had been logged off.

So... the problem was that in my infinite wisdom, and since I had to save some important files that I was working on, I decided to log on my private account (a big no no obviously) so I could just save my excel file. The problem with this was that it associated my private email profile foto with the windows account from work.

After removing my private account from the computer (It was saved as a second account since my account from work is registered as the admin) I went to Windows (C>Users>...>Microsoft>Windows>AccountPictures and deleted the picture that was saved from my private email account. However even after doing this it still appears as the user picture! As you can Imagine I dont want them to know I had been putting private accounts in the computer so I would love if you could help me remove this image of me from the laptop.


By the way, since I reinstalled onedrive I can not save office documents (excels, words, etc) in the onedrive company server. I use my work account on word and excel files and it stays logged in but everytime I try to click "save" it asks me to put the username and password, I do it even tho I am already logged but it keeps on asking and saying it is trying to connect to server over and over again... Do you know why this is happening?

Removing a "hidden" user and user files

Thanks for your patience. I was able with "Net User" to remove the left over user. It no longer appears when I invoke Net User.

Now for the user's folder which remains behind. After performing the series of steps that you suggested, I attempted to delete this folder. The result again was an error message about permission


"Administrators" appears on the list in the list of advanced security.

 

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Pictures in Windows 10

Are you able to find other files and folders on Windows 10?

I suggest you to have a look for Windows 8.1 pictures in Windows.old folder.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + E keys to open Windows explorer
• Press C:\ Drive
• under C: drive look for Windows.old folder
• open users under Windows.old

Try the search for pictures in here.
