Windows 10: Can't Rename PC W10 or W11

Hello, I have recently changed my network and I cannot change the name on a couple of computers. The network was originally setup on a domain. Since then, I've removed the server, reset the router and also reset the network settings on all of my computers. However, when I try to rename one of the computers, I get an error that I cannot rename it. I've use PowerShell and I get an error that domain doesn't exist, which is why I can't change it. What do I do? How do I remove remnants of the old domain from these computers WITHOUT doing a fresh install of the OS?

How to transfer W10 License to W11

I stupidly thought that if I was going to have a new PC, I might as well put W11 on it and, as I mentioned, having had problems which could not be solved with one PC when I upgraded from W7 to W10, I got afraid of having something similar happen when switching from W10 to W11, silly of me I guess, especially now that I find out that W11 is still half baked with (luckily until now) small problems that are more irritating than crimpling. I actually blew a couple of dollar on an additional 1TB SSD-M2 yesterday to do just what you suggest and I feel like a fool for buying W11.

 

trouble trying to move files from old w10 pc to new w11 pc

I think I'm on the right track, but when I try to access w10 pc from the new one, it wants me to enter "credentials".

On the old w10 pc, when I look for credentials, I find that I have no windows credentials.

Am I in the right place?

Is there an easier way to move files?

My Plan B is to copy all my old w10 files to an external drive and then suck them on to the new w11 pc.

But that involves one extra step, which will make this take a lot longer.

Help!
